What this website remembers in your browser, what it is for and the choices you have.
Two browser-storage entries support the demo and your theme. No optional analytics or advertising trackers are included in the application.
Cookies and local storage are ways a website can remember information in a browser. Cookies may accompany web requests; local storage stays in the browser unless application code reads and sends it. This application uses local storage for the two purposes listed below. It does not use an Open Academy advertising cookie or optional analytics cookie.
The entry “oa-demo-v1” stores the demo profile, cart, enrolment, sample order date, selected and completed lessons, notes, saved career paths and project work. Its purpose is to keep the preview consistent between visits in the same browser. It has no automatic expiry. The account reset replaces it with an empty demo; removing site data deletes the entry.
The entry “oa-theme” remembers a light or dark appearance. Changing the theme updates this preference. It has no automatic expiry and is not removed when you reset the demo account. Removing this website’s data in browser settings removes it.
The platform serving this private preview may use its own cookies or storage for sign-in, security or delivery. Those are separate from the two Open Academy entries documented here. This page is an inventory of the application’s own storage, not an audit of every hosting-platform cookie. Consult the platform’s notices for its own practices.
Use Account settings to review your demo profile and “Log out & clear demo” in the account area to reset your learning records. To remove all local Open Academy entries, open your browser’s privacy or site-data settings, find the current site address and clear its stored data. The hosted preview and localhost are separate sites and must be cleared separately.
You can still browse public pages. The demo may work only for the current visit and may not remember progress, notes, your cart or the selected theme after reloading. Private browsing can also remove this information when the browsing session ends. Keep a separate copy of any sample project you want to retain.
There are no optional tracking categories to enable in this application today, so this preview does not display an accept-all advertising banner. If analytics, embedded services or marketing technologies are introduced, their purposes and settings must be assessed and this notice updated before those technologies are used.
