Understand what this preview remembers, why it is used and how to manage your information.
Your demo learning records stay in this browser. Forms and payments are simulated. You can review, edit or reset your local records.
This notice describes the Open Academy frontend preview, including its course catalogue, sample checkout and learning space. It explains the information used by this version. It does not describe a connected learning service or replace the policies of the platform that hosts the preview.
When you use the demo, this browser can remember your sample name and email, cart, enrolment, order date, selected lesson, completed lessons and notes. Saved career paths, project drafts and project completion are also kept here. A separate preference remembers your light or dark theme. Please use sample profile details and avoid private workplace, financial or other sensitive information in notes and projects.
The saved information lets you continue a sample lesson, see your progress, revisit a draft and explore the account and checkout experience after refreshing the page. Open Academy does not send these demo records to a learner account database. They do not sync between browsers, devices or the local and hosted versions of this site.
The contact form only displays a confirmation on screen. It does not send or save the enquiry. Newsletter signup is also a demonstration: the email is not saved, sent or added to a mailing list. Checkout creates a sample order in this browser without charging a payment card or starting a subscription. Password recovery does not send an email.
Serving this preview involves the hosting platform, which may process request information such as an IP address, browser details and operational logs under its own policies. If you sign in to the hosting platform to access this private preview, that sign-in is separate from an Open Academy demo account. We have not confirmed the platform’s complete storage inventory, processing locations or retention periods. Images are served from this project’s files; further-reading links lead to websites with their own notices.
The Open Academy application does not include advertising pixels or optional analytics trackers. Demo profile details, notes and project drafts are not sent by this application to an advertising or email marketing service. The social icons show a preview message until official profiles are connected. See the cookie notice for the browser storage used by the application.
Demo records and your theme preference have no automatic expiry in this application. They remain in this browser until reset, removed through browser settings or cleared by the browser. Private browsing, device cleanup or unavailable storage can cause information to disappear sooner. This is not a backed-up learning record.
You can view and edit your sample profile in Account settings, review orders in Your orders, and revise notes or project drafts in their learning spaces. “Log out & clear demo” resets the demo profile, cart, enrolment, progress, notes and career path work in this browser. It keeps the theme preference. To remove both stored entries, use your browser’s site-data settings for the current website. Copy any work you want to keep before clearing it.
This preview does not provide production account authentication, secure cloud storage or recovery of deleted work. Someone using the same browser profile may be able to view its saved demo information. Use sample information on shared devices and reset the demo when finished. Clearing this application’s data does not sign you out of the separate hosting platform or delete its logs.
The contact page currently previews an enquiry only; it is not a working privacy-request channel. Before personal information is collected for a live service, the operator and privacy contact, purposes, providers, processing locations, retention rules and applicable access and correction procedures must be published. This notice will need updating whenever connected payments, video hosting, communications or analytics change how information is handled.
